Spring Semester 2026 Classes
Pathfinders
(Ages 0-3)
Lillio Learning- Tennessee Early Learning Developmental Standards Birth-48 months
Reggio-Inspired Learning
In our Reggio-inspired preschool class, we embrace the natural curiosity of children ages 0-2, encouraging exploration and discovery through play and hands-on experiences. Our approach views each child as a capable, creative individual, and we foster learning in an environment rich with opportunities for self-expression and sensory exploration.
Children are encouraged to engage with their surroundings, from natural materials to open-ended activities that spark imagination and critical thinking. We are always listening to the children’s interests and co-creating learning experiences that reflect their unique ideas. Through art, music, movement, and play, we nurture social, emotional, and cognitive development, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
This class provides a safe, nurturing space where young learners can build independence, form meaningful relationships, and develop confidence in their abilities to explore the world around them.

Voyagers
(Pre-K & Kindergarten)
Core 1- Apologia Preschool Science
Elective- Kid-Preneur Class (Entrepreneurial Workshop)- GROUP A CLASS
Clubs- Alternate Art, STEAM, and WonderWorkshop Clubs

Our science lessons follow Preschool Science: Exploring Creation Together, a God-honoring curriculum filled with hands-on, minds-on, and hearts-on activities. This program is designed to help young learners develop their most vital learning tools—their unique, God-given talents and abilities—through engaging exploration and discovery.

In addition to science, students will participate in an elective class all about Entrepreneurship. In this 15-week group class, for our Pre-K–2nd grade students they will explore creativity, collaboration, and imaginative play through hands-on “business” stations such as a lemonade stand, bakery, bookstore, art gallery, plant shop, and more. Our class theme centers around storytelling, and by the end of the semester every child will be a published author! In Week 1, each student will create their own Flat Stanley inspired character and a personal adventure journal. Two class characters "ROSIE" and "EASTON" will also rotate among families, with pictures and stories gathered into a shared class book that we will publish and celebrate during our final week. Each class features four playful learning stations, movement-based games, real-world skill practice (such as money, sorting, serving, and creating), and opportunities for students to develop confidence, communication, and imagination. This workshop blends hands-on exploration with meaningful storytelling—helping young learners understand how ideas grow, how creativity becomes “products,” and how sharing those ideas builds community. Students will work with parents to create additional age appropriate items to have at their booth during our Student Market in May!

Each week also includes a rotating club time to enrich the student experience beyond core academics.
-
Art Club- This year’s Art Club is built around a rich, immersive theme: Historical Art from Around the World.
Students will travel through civilizations, centuries, and continents—exploring how different cultures expressed themselves through symbols, color, storytelling, tools, and technique. -

-
STEAM Club (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) offers a hands-on opportunity for young minds to experiment, build, and create. Through age-appropriate activities like simple engineering builds, nature-based experiments, and creative design challenges, students explore the world around them while strengthening problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
-
-
WonderWorkshop- Wonder Workshop is a weekly enrichment experience designed specifically for our youngest students (PreK–2nd grade). It introduces children to the beauty of the natural world through a consistent three-part structure: Story, Craft, and Physical Movement. Each week features a different habitat, allowing children to “visit” environments across the globe—rainforests, deserts, oceans, arctic regions, forests, savannas, wetlands, and more. The goal is to nurture early curiosity through play, exploration, and hands-on learning.

These rotating clubs provide dynamic opportunities for growth and engagement while allowing students to explore a wide variety of interests each semester.

Explorers
(Third-Fifth Grade)
Core 1- Apologia Zoology 1- Flying Creatures
Elective- Kid-Preneur Class (Entrepreneurial Workshop)- GROUP B CLASS
Clubs- Alternate Art, STEAM, and WonderWorkshop Clubs

Our science curriculum for Explorers follows Apologia’s Zoology 1: Flying Creatures of the Fifth Day, an engaging and faith-based study of birds, bats, insects, and other airborne animals. Through interactive lessons, students will explore topics such as flight dynamics, animal classification, anatomy, migration, and ecosystems. Hands-on experiments, nature journaling, and group discussions will bring each lesson to life and foster a deeper understanding of God’s design in the natural world.
In addition to science, students will participate in an elective class
Our Kidpreneur Class sparks creativity, confidence, and curiosity as students step into the exciting world of business. Through the engaging story The Toothpaste Millionaire, students discover how big ideas can start small, while developing problem-solving skills and an entrepreneurial mindset. Each week, students reflect and share their thoughts in Entrepreneur Journals, building communication and confidence along the way.
Students are encouraged and rewarded through our beloved Kidpreneur Shop, earning “Kidpreneur Coins” for creativity, effort, teamwork, and leadership. Throughout the semester, students collaborate to design and create their own products, culminating in a joyful Student Market at the end of the term, where they showcase their hard work and ideas. Monthly guest entrepreneurs bring learning to life by sharing real-world experiences and inspiring students to dream big.
In addition, we offer 3 rotational clubs every Tuesday:

-
PE Club promotes physical health, teamwork, and sportsmanship through structured games, cooperative challenges, and skill-building activities. It encourages students to stay active while learning how to work together and support their peers.
-
STEAM Club (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) offers exciting, hands-on projects that challenge students to think critically and problem-solve creatively. From building mini bridges and catapults to experimenting with circuits and chemical reactions, students explore real-world concepts in fun and tangible ways.

Our Navigators program is designed for students in grades 6–9 who are ready to take on deeper academic challenges and engage more independently in their learning. This semester, students will be diving into Apologia’s Zoology 1: Flying Creatures of the Fifth Day, a detailed and thought-provoking exploration of the science of flight. Through this curriculum, students will study birds, bats, insects, and other flying creatures, examining their classification, anatomy, behaviors, and habitats.
Lessons will be paired with hands-on experiments, guided nature observations, and opportunities for student-led research and presentations. Emphasis will be placed on developing note-taking skills, scientific writing, and critical thinking as students learn to analyze, synthesize, and apply the material in meaningful ways.
In addition to science, students will participate in Group Class B, our Kidpreneur Elective Class. This class challenges learners to think strategically, work collaboratively, and turn ideas into action. Using The Toothpaste Millionaire as a foundation, students dive deeper into innovation, problem-solving, budgeting, and real-world decision-making.
Navigators take ownership of their learning through weekly Entrepreneur Journals, meaningful discussions, and leadership-driven collaboration. Students earn Kidpreneur Coins for initiative, creativity, and teamwork—reinforcing responsibility and goal-setting—while engaging in peer-led planning and production.
The program culminates in a Student Market at the end of the semester, where Navigators design, create, price, and sell their own products, applying everything they’ve learned in a real-world setting. This class is designed to inspire confidence, deepen subject mastery, and prepare students for the next phase of their educational journey.
Beyond the Classroom

At Compass Rose, we believe in cultivating a well-rounded educational experience that extends beyond academics. Each month, our community engages in thoughtfully planned spirit week themes, educational field trips, Parents’ Night Out events, family dinners, and community outreach projects—all designed to strengthen fellowship and enrich student learning.
Each semester concludes with a special program in which students present their final work to families and friends. This meaningful event is followed by a time of fellowship in the gymnasium, complete with games and activities that celebrate the accomplishments of our students and the close-knit community we’ve built together.
